- **Type:** Village
- **Province or region:** Gilgit-Baltistan
- **Part of:** Gojal (https://hunzaexplorer.com/destinations/gilgit-baltistan/hunza-valley/gojal)
- **Best season:** May to November

The Hussaini suspension bridge is a footbridge of wooden planks and cables, long and swaying, and one of the best-known sights in Gojal. Crossing it is much less dangerous than it looks, but the planks are widely spaced and there are gaps, so take your time and cross with a guide if you are nervous about heights.

The village beside it is small and quiet. From the riverbank the Passu Cones fill the view, and the trail to Borith Lake starts nearby.

## Seasons in Gilgit-Baltistan

- **Spring (March to April):** Apricot and cherry blossom in the lower valleys, mostly in April. The higher villages are still cold and the high passes are closed.

- **Autumn (October to November):** Golden leaves in the orchards and the clearest light of the year. Nights are cold and the first snow reaches the high valleys in November.
- **Winter (December to February):** Cold and quiet. Hunza and Gilgit stay reachable by road, but the high valleys and passes are closed.
