Leepa is a remote side valley of the Jhelum, with terraced rice and maize fields and traditional wooden houses.
Leepa is reached by a mountain road that snow closes for part of winter. The valley is quiet and mostly agricultural, and visitors who come here are usually on a longer Kashmir trip. Access can be regulated, so we check before planning it.
