The Batura Valley trek is a scenic and an easy trek in the Hunza Valley of Pakistan. The trek crosses the Batura Glacier, which is one of the largest glaciers in the Karakoram mountain range, while walking along the moraine of Batura glacier, enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The trek typically starts from Passu village and leads through alpine meadows, rocky terrains, and narrow gorges before reaching the Batura Glacier. Along the way, trekkers may encounter wildlife such as yaks, ibex, snow leopard and marmots, after the trek you can also have the opportunity to visit local villages and experience the culture of the region. The trek is considered easy but requires proper planning, preparation, and experience in high altitude trekking.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Islamabad
Arrival at the airport in Islamabad, our guide and driver will meet your upon your arrival at the airport, after meeting and greetings drive to the hotel.
Day 02: Islamabad – Chilas
Early morning drive to Chilas it takes approximately 10 hours to reach Chilas from Islamabad, This day we will drive on the Karakorum Highway also known as 8th wonder of the world with some short stops for photography and lunch. arrive and transfer to the hotel
Day 03: Chilas – Passu
Drive to Passu in Gojal valley (upper Hunza) en-route we will stop at the view point or Nanga Parbat , the junction point of the three great ranges “Karakorum, Himalaya & Hundu Kush” and in Gilgit for lunch, after lunch we will continue our journey onward to Hunza , On the way we will pass through the beautiful white show capped Rakaposhi 7788m view point from where you can see and take a close up shot of the peak. Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 04: Passu
Today will be the preparation day for the trek.
Day 05: Trek to Guchesm and back to Passu
Day 06: Trek to Yashparth
Day 07: Trek to Kuckhel
Day 08: Trek to Guchesm
Day 09: Rest day at Guchesm or explore around
Day 10: Trek back to Yeshparth
Day 11: Trek back to the KKH and drive to the hotel in Ghulkin/Gulmit/Passu
Day 12: Passu
Rest day / Explore around
Day 13: Passu – Besham
Drive back Besham on Karakorum Highway, en-route stop at the village for photography, arrive and transfer to the hotel
Day 14: Besham – Islamabad
Departure for Islamabad, en-route we will visit Taxila museum, arrive and transfer to the hotel
Day 15: Departure!
Drive to the airport and fly to destination.
