Sehwan Sharif is the town of the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, a 13th-century Sufi saint, where devotees gather for drumming, singing and dhamal dancing.
Sehwan is old, with a ruined fort on a mound and a bazaar around the shrine. The shrine is an active place of worship. On Thursdays and during the urs, the courtyard is filled with drums and dancers. Go with a local guide, dress modestly, and ask before taking photographs.
